Hot pink is the new must have color for Spring/Summer 2009. This young lady does a great job of executing that color trend. Doo. Ri and Adam Lippes were just a few of the designers who picked pink this season and adorned many of their models with this fabulous color, as it looks great on almost any skin tone. Also, no need to be an 80’s baby to rock the cut of this dress as many popular, edgy designers packed their collections this Spring with 1980’s inspired sleeves, dresses, and tanks such as Alexander Wang.

Note Worthy: One fabulous dress can make for many fabulous nights.

Loving the skirt this young lady chose for two simple, trend following reasons: the block print and the colors within the print. Bold, block prints are very popular for the summer, seen in skirts, dresses, and jackets. By choosing a blocked print in black, cobalt blue, and hot pink, she molded a classic color (black) with a popular color from the Winter runways (blue) with the fresh color of the moment (pink) and paired it with a simple white tank to allow the colors to stand out even more.

Note Worthy: To make a great piece stand out even more, pair it with a muted, understated piece.

This young lady managed to pull off numerous trends in one outfit fabulously. So, lets tackle this trend follower by layers. First, is her base piece, the jumpsuit. Most are aware that jumpsuits are very popular this summer, but by choosing a jumpsuit with the harem pant (which was very popular last fall), she melts the past and present together nicely. Second, is the bold, black and white print on the jumpsuit that follows the trend of black and white graphic prints that was started this season by such famed Designers as Oscar de la Renta. Moreover, she chose a zebra print, and animal prints are always in fashion when in their subdued hues. Third, bangles are back! Bangles that are bigger and bolder are better, as seen on such runways as Marc Jacobs this Spring. Fourth, is her leather jacket in lemon yellow and bag in ruby red, both neon, primary colors which are a throw back to the 90’s. Bold color is key this season as it embodies hope and change after the bleak blacks of the recession focused Fall collections.

Note Worthy: One can cover multiple trends in one look, as long as the trends are basic enough and well executed.
