The 2009 NBA Draft is a time for celebration for many, and disappointment for others. Disappointment as a fan may come when your favorite team makes an ill advised pick( Darko Milicic, the Second pick of the 2003 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons out of Serbia-Montenegro). With Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, and Chris Bosh available.  Or it could be when a rival team makes a brilliant pick ( Tony Parker, Twenty-Eighth Pic by the San Antonio Spurs out of France in 2001.) The Celebration is obvious when you keep up with sports.  If you don’t care who was drafted by whom, and where they’re going, you can be sure that there are going to be some pretty nice events on NBA Draft night. I hit the 40/40 club for an NBA Draft Party with Mr. Hefner and NBA Los.  Former NY Knick John Starks was in the spot as it was teeming with models, athlete’s and entertainment industry folks. It was a packed house and the ESPN room made for a much more relaxed setting( I love my people, but I need space) Ms. Dominican Republic 2008 was spending her Birthday in NY. DJ Kid Kapri was moving the tracks for the night as the spot kept rocking out. The 2009 #1 Pick Blake Griffin and his brother the #48 pick Taylor Griffin. It was a good night to celebrate, Until next time , I’ll see you in the club.
